The increasing demand for efficient surface preparation techniques in multiple industries has spurred considerable investigation into laser ablation. This analysis directly contrasts the efficiency of pulsed laser ablation for the removal of both paint films and rust scale from metal substrates. We observed that while both materials are vulnerable
